Employer of Choice for Veterans

The Office of Military and Veterans Affairs (OMVA) at Notre Dame leads up several efforts to enhance the experience of veteran faculty and staff.

Notre Dame Veterans Employee Resource Group (ERG)

OMVA has established a vibrant and motivated Notre Dame Veterans Employee Resource Group (ERG), driven by exceptional leadership and active member participation. This group hosts events such as daytime mixers, offering free food and opportunities for socialization.

Social Gatherings and Community Events

OMVA organizes social gatherings to foster community among veteran faculty and staff. Notable events include the Army-Navy Game Watch Party held at O'Rourke's. OMVA invites all members of the Notre Dame community, regardless of military affiliation, to participate in military events on campus. A key event is the Memorial Day Mass held outside the World War I Memorial door of the basilica.

Recognition of Veteran Faculty/Staff

Our office organizes special recognition events for veterans during premier athletic events such as the annual military appreciation football game as well as home hockey games.
