Taemin Yoon

Biography
Taemin Yoon was born in Cheongju, South Korea, and immigrated to the US at the age of 6, where he grew up in La CaƱada, California. After his freshman year at Notre Dame was cut short by COVID-19 in the Spring of 2020, he saw the pandemic as an opportunity to enlist in the US Army, fulfilling his childhood dream of serving in the military for the country that provided his family with opportunities as immigrants. After almost 2.5 years of serving as a Medical Logistician in the US Army, he returned to Notre Dame in the Fall of 2023 as a sophomore while concurrently serving part-time in the US Army Reserve.
Taemin lives by the philosophy that education is a lifelong journey. He is currently double majoring in Finance and Economics as a member of the class of 2026. He is a resident of Baumer Hall and participates in the Federal Reserve & Fiscal Challenge Club, Student International Business Council, and Sports Analytics Club. In his spare time, Taemin can be found on the golf course with the unrealistic hopes of chasing birdies. After graduation, he hopes to pursue a career in finance where he can contribute to the transformations of future generations.
