Trevor Miller was born and raised Elkhart, very close to Notre Dame. He enlisted in the Marine Corps after his junior year of high school and completed his senior year early so that he could leave for boot camp in San Diego, CA. He spent nearly nine years on active duty in the Marines as an infantryman. In 2009 he deployed to Afghanistan and was wounded in an explosion weeks before he was scheduled to return home.
 
After leaving the Marine Corps he moved home and joined the Indiana Army National Guard and has served in the National Guard for more than seven years now. Trevor previously worked locally as a police officer and was a patrol supervisor, a bomb disposal technician, a hostage negotiator, and a crime scene technician. Trevor has a B.S. from Hawaii Pacific University and a M.S. from Michigan State University. He is now pursuing a M.A. in Theology from the University of Notre Dame to deepen his understanding of his Catholic faith.
