Huntkey "Boomer" Bakich

Huntkey (Boomer) Bakich is from Dallas, Texas. He played football for the Army football team while studying at West Point, where he graduated in 2019. His first assignment was serving as a Tank/Scout Platoon Leader for 1-77th AR at Fort Bliss, Texas, where he deployed to South Korea in 2021.

Most recently, CPT Bakich served as the Company Commander for Alpha Company, 3-60th IN, and as the 1-13th IN Battalion Operations Officer at Fort Jackson, South Carolina.

Notre Dame runs in Boomer's blood; he was baptized at the Log Chapel, and his dad and his mom graduated from Notre Dame (class of ’95 and ‘93). His dad played football for Coach Holtz, and his younger brother played on the hockey team and graduated in 2023. 

Boomer Bakich is married to Amanda, and they have one child, Huntley III.
