Matthew Larkin

Commander Matthew Larkin, USN (Ret.) served as the Commanding Officer of the “Magnificent 7” battalion in San Diego, California, for the United States Military Entrance Processing Command, Officer in Charge of the pay and personnel services for the U.S. Navy’s boot camp and training schools, on the faculty at the Graduate School of Business and Public Policy at Naval Postgraduate School, and worked with the Rwandan Defence Forces in support of the African Peacekeeping Rapid Response Partnership. He is applying his expertise in talent development to help students and professionals navigate their career pathways.

Commander Larkin commissioned through the Naval Reserve Officers Training Corps (NROTC) program at Villanova University, where he also earned his bachelor’s degree. He completed his MBA at IESE Business School in Barcelona, Spain and Master of Science in Manpower Systems Analysis at Naval Postgraduate School in Monterey, California. Matthew is pursuing a master’s degree in Engineering, Science, and Technology Entrepreneurship at the University of Notre Dame.

Matthew and his wife, Elissa, are grateful to be part of the Notre Dame family as they raise their own “Magnificent 7” children.
