For many military veterans, transitioning to an academic environment can be intimidating due to the foundational academic skills required for college success. Despite their challenging military experiences, veterans often need additional support to adapt to college life.

Overview of the Warrior-Scholar Project

The Warrior-Scholar Project (WSP) was established to introduce veterans to the demands of college life. It offers a free, immersive academic boot camp designed specifically for current and former military service members who wish to pursue higher education.

Notre Dame's Role as a WSP Partner University

As a partner university, Notre Dame hosts 30 active or veteran military members for two weeks each summer. This program helps prepare participants for enrollment at colleges and universities across the country, providing them with the skills and confidence needed to succeed in their academic pursuits.
