Annual Veteran Recognition Event

OMVA hosts an annual Veteran Recognition Event during Reunion Weekend at Notre Dame. This event honors the brave ND alumni who have served our nation, as well as those who made the ultimate sacrifice. Attendees are honored with a letter from the President of Notre Dame and a commemorative pin.
Stay tuned for more events throughout the year by visiting ourĀ events page.
Warrior Scholar Project
In partnership with the Warrior Scholar Project, OMVA offers a boot camp for transitioning service members preparing for academic life. This program provides a preview of classroom experiences, instills confidence, and reassures participants of their academic potential. The boot camp is open to all service members, not just those enrolling at Notre Dame.
Community Engagement
OMVA actively engages the surrounding veteran community by:
- Using social media platforms like Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, X, and YouTube to highlight notable achievements and days of remembrance.
- Organizing joint social events, such as the annual Army-Navy Watch Party, to foster connections between student veterans and veteran faculty and staff.
- Live streaming significant events, such as the Mass celebrating the 100th Anniversary of the World War I Memorial Door, for military-connected alumni, family, and friends on Memorial Day.
Employment Support
OMVA partners with various veteran recruiting and matchmaking companies to provide job opportunities for students and prospective employees at Notre Dame (DoD Skillbridge, INVETS, 50Strong, etc.).
